[Highly rated reviewer]this dvd second series is superb. The series stars Kaley Cuoco as Penny (she played Billie in Charmed), Johnny Galecki (he played the part of David in Roseanne) as Leonard, Jim Parsons ( he has been in Judging Amy and Ed) as Sheldon, Simon Helberg (he has had guest roles in Reno 911, Studio 60, Sunset Strip, Joey and MAD TV) as Wolowitz and Kunal Nayyar (he has had a guest role on NCIS, and his theatre acting credits include 'Huck and Holden' at the Dahlia Theatre in Los Angeles) as Rajesh Koothrappali.
The series revolves around two physicists, who learn how little they know about life, when a beautiful woman comes into their lives.
Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists, the kind of 'beautiful minds' that understand how the universe works.
But none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women.
All this begins to change when a free-spirited beauty named Penny moves in next door. Sheldon, Leonard's roommate, is quite content spending his nights playing Klingon Boggle with their socially dysfunctional friends, fellow CalTech scientists Wolowitz and Koothrappali.
However, Leonard sees in Penny a whole new universe of possibilities... including love.
well worth watching.

Watch Season 1 first! To comedy, running gagsBy BKieser (38 reviews) from Brampton , 09 Feb 2010This is a truly great comedy series. Witty, intelligent, not in-your-face. Could be British!
Honestly, your life will be poorer for not seeing this. But, do get Series 1 first and watch from the beginning. This series has running gags and many subtleties that you will miss if you don't see the thing in order.

Big Bang Season 2By bossmanbing (35 reviews) from Newton-le-Willows , 08 Feb 2010Excellent stuff... Big Bang just keeps getting better... Its dry humour at its best... Can't wait for season 3.
4 scientists men totally incapable of interacting with other human being and one down to earth girl who brings them back down to earth!!! Really funny, good humour. Sheldon is definitely the best.
Very funny - great entertainmentBy BrilliantTrees (172 reviews) from Surrey, UK , 02 Jan 2010The first series was very funny & so is this one. Very good characters who all gell together & with plenty of laugh out loud moments.
So FunnyBy dumbolives (269 reviews) from Shetland , 22 Dec 2009I think Sheldon is the funniest character ever created. I love him, he is the best thing about this programme but the show as a whole is just fantastic, can't be compared to anything else so you just have to watch it for yourself.
Splendid!!By JimEmbob (4 reviews) from Rushden , 19 Dec 2009Myself and my girlfriend have watched season 1 and 2 over and over again and we are still not bored of it yet! We were literally hooked on BBT after watching just one episode.
The characters are very easy to warm too and they make us laugh with there own little quirks.
If you want to watch a show that is funny, clever, quirky and very entertaining then BBT is for you.
