    [Highly rated reviewer]

I have always had tremendous respect for Bruce Lee's extraordinary talent, skill and dedication to kung fu. His films are of course the medium by which people can still see these legendary skills, but at the expense of boring slow-paced plots and the cheap film making of the time(except later with Enter The Dragon which had big US studio backing). The Big Boss shows some of the greatest demonstrations of his art, but skip the storyline and fast forward to the action sequences as this is all you ned to see. Poetry in motion.

tbh i dont know why this is called 'Fists of Fury' the original working title was 'The Big Boss'.

However regardless of the name change the films the same bar a few chops and changes from how i remember it as a ten year old, still packs a punch in all the right places and is still one of THE best martial arts movies ever.

if you a Bruce Lee fan and havent seen this movie...sort it out :)

they do not come like this anymore, but if the best ones around today, including the very great mr. tarantino, have a godfather, it must be the fist of fury.

for all its blatant simplicity, for all its kitsch, and for all it's worth, all must be forgiven and this oldie must remain nothing but a goodie.

one viewing only, and one cannot help but partake in the great legend of bruce lee.

    a classic.

Good film, ruined by REALLY bad voice actor and horrible, repetative music.

Wish subbed was a choice as the unenthusiastic american voice actors was really annoying

What can I say, it is Bruce Lee so always good. However, I still prefer Enter the Dragon/Way of the Dragon over this particular title

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHide

It's a fast-paced cool kung-fu film, very exciting, and the music has a real 70s funk to it! What's interesting is that Bruce's character does not fight until the second half of the film, due to the fact that in the beginning he is moving to a new town, and in his old town he must have got into some kind of trouble, because his mother reminds him not to fight. So, the first few fights in the film are not so exciting, because it's not Bruce Lee doing them. I guess it's something to do with a message of non-violence and being peaceful.

It's a serious film; few people give Bruce Lee credit for it, but he does have a sense of humour, which he does use in his films. Also, the story of the factory that he works on being a front for a heroin ring is interesting. When the bad guys promote him as a bribe to foreman, so he won't talk, it's fun to see him getting some action from some hot Chinese chicks!

The final fight between him and the bad guy is very exciting. It is a great example of what a bad-ass Bruce Lee is. But there is something funny within the film - I swear that there are times you can hear the music from one of Pink Floyd's songs from Dark Side of the Moon. Can anyone else hear this? I think it's the first song on the album.

What's also interesting is that when this was released in the United States it was called Fists of Fury, I'm not making that up! So what's funny is when Fist of Fury came out, they had to call this sequel The Chinese Connection! It's the kind of mistake that distributors are making to this day.

Go to cinemassacre dot com. James Rolfe aka the angry video nerd, will explain what I'm talking about. Two thumbs up! Great flick. Although definitely not a film to see on a date, though! Haha! Unless you are dating a martial artist.
