[Highly rated reviewer]The Blind Side is a great all-round family film. Sandra Bullock plays a rich yet kind-hearted mother who takes in a young homeless boy. This uplifting film gives you hope that there are kind people in the world. The best part is that it is based on the true story of Michael Oher.

Excellent performancesBy SLW64 (8 reviews) , 31 Mar 2013I was riveted to this film right from the beginning. I thoroughly enjoyed it and Sandra Bullock so deserved the oscar she got for it. The acting by the whole cast was superb. I don't often watch films a second time, but this one will be added to the small number of movies that go in my 'watch time and time again pile'. Incredibly moving and sometimes heartbreakingly tragic, but realistic and inspirational.
Heart-warming FilmBy a customer , 31 Mar 2013This is a warm-hearted feel-good film, even more so as it is based on a true story. Sandra Bullock plays a wealthy working-mother with a very kind heart. She is strong and not afraid to challenge the opinions of her friends. She and her husband take in an underprivileged male teenager who is accepted into the household by her husband and 2 children. The boy is encouraged by them all to make the most of the education he is now being offered.
