Movie bosses are searching for a young female star to fill Whitney Houston's shoes in a revamp of The Bodyguard. Warner Bros. executives are rebooting the 1992 hit film, which starred Houston as a pop singer and Kevin Costner as a former Secret Service agent hired to protect her. Rihanna has shot down rumours she is in talks to remake Whitney Houston's 1992 classic The Bodyguard. Reports surfaced on Monday (16Mar09) alleging the Umbrella hitmaker was set to star in a modern day version of the hit romantic drama. Embattled soul superstar Whitney Houston has died at the age of 48. The singer passed away on Saturday afternoon (11Feb12), according to Associated Press reports. The How Will I Know hitmaker's body was discovered by her minder in her suite at the Beverly Hilton hotel, where she was preparing for mentor Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy Awards party.
