Fun
By Death Fish II from between the land and the sky , 19 Nov 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
Entertaining action comedy from Thailand, a mixture of John Woo-style shootouts (in his Hong Kong days), some pretty raw language, exaggerated wire work fights, and jokes - a few of them quite funny. Ong Bak's Tony Jaa is in it, having a fight, but if you're hiring it just for that, be warned he's on screen for about a minute. There is also a pointless romance in there that luckily isn't given enough screen time to slow things down. Undemanding, funny and enjoyable. Thai language, with subtitles.- Was this review helpful to you?

(6)Stupid But funny
By a customer from Oldham , 01 Jun 2007This really is just a stupid film. Do be aware that it is in Thai with English subs.
The script is so mad that you after watch the whole film. It is funny in a stupid kind of way.- Was this review helpful to you?

Hilarious Comedy
By a customer from Hampshire, England , 03 Mar 2007Even with the subtitiles this film is great comedy. Initially disappointed as we expected a good action film but we laughed all the way through. It's a real mickey take of all those low budget films you may have seen in the past with exaggerated stunts, blundering baddies and of course, the good guy gets the girl in the end !- Was this review helpful to you?

The Boring Bodyguard
By a customer from Essex England , 03 May 2006Dissapointing action comedy which just fails to pull off a decent shootout or fight scene. The only saving grace is a very brief appearance by Tony Jaa who instantly steals the moment. It gets 2 stars for 1 Tony Jaa and 2 the rant of the bald tango man near the end of the film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Poor Thai Action Comedy
By drunkenmaster (479 reviews) from Merthyr Tydfil, , 10 Dec 2005This is a major disappointment after the recent Thai releases. Ong-Bak and Born To Fight were both excellent. This takes a lighter approach and fails to entertain. The comedy is heavy handed and does not amuse. It is childish and stupid rather than funny. There is a little hope in the action sequences, but not enough to recommend this film. Tony Jaa makes a fleeting appearance that makes you laugh and provides the best fight action in the whole film, but you get to see most of that in the trailer. A shame. I was just beginning to get excited by Thai action releases.- Was this review helpful to you?
