Ludlum meets Damon......and they make a great pair. Very good film.By roncoach (370 reviews) from suffolk , 20 Jan 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]A very good film -----an espionage thriller which, because of their current numbers, needs to be good in order to compete.
And this IS good.
Robert Ludlum was IMHO the best contemporary thriller writer of his generation, and Jason Bourne was the only character he ever 'used' in more than one of his many many novels. So Jason is already a bit special before we get down to the film.
He's such a good character to play that some might say that any decent actor could have played the part and not detracted from the film at all. I'd disagree with that. I think Matt Damon was a great choice and enhanced the film. The follow-up, and more after that I hope, was also a triumph for him.
It's espionage, thriller, action, subterfuge, wide-ranging locations and lots of enjoyment amidst the tension.
Very easy to recommend this movie starring one of the best talents around on screen in recent years.

Sharp action thrillerBy Bassman71 (696 reviews) from Didsbury, England , 22 Sep 2010Unconcious man gets rescued in the sea by fishing boat, amnesia, has 'special' skills, someone trying to kill him, befriends German girl, tries to find out what's going on & who he is.
Sharp action-thriller which has its fair share of twists and turns and outright action with some great fight choreography.
Strong cast helps it & Maaaaatttt Daaaammmon is very believable as Jason Bourne. Good turn too from Franka Potente, Chris Cooper & Clive Owen as the deadly sniper.
Fab Action film!By harrietnadz (3 reviews) from yorkshire , 16 Sep 2010This film is one that our family have been wanting to watch for ages and have just never got round to it. I can honestly say it is wonderful, and we have really really enjoyed it. The action sequences are brilliant, the stunts are even better and I thought the plot was laid out to keep it interesting but without over thinking it.
Really would recommend it and can't wait to see the next 2 films!
Simply superbBy a customer from Basingstoke , 19 Aug 2010A great action adventure. Gripping from start to finish. If you enjoy this genre this is a film that will probably stay in your top ten. Recommended.
One to WatchBy RedTabby (18 reviews) from Southampton, England , 17 Jul 2010You need to watch this first film to make sense of the other two. This film certainly does not disappoint. Set in great locations, the gritty, violent storyline has you guessing from the very beginning.
Surely the benchmark of a good film is that you don't want it to end. For me this was definately the case. More, more, more PLEASE.
