    80s through and through...

Yes indeed. Take some aging television stars, some big hair, some soft focus (to disguise the wrinkles), some tame car chases and gun battles and a plot that sticks closer to the original Ludlum than the Liman remake and you have three hours of time killer that demonstrates why the word mini and the word series have become something of an insult.

The acting is never less than Dynasty-tastic and the plot is subordinate to the efforts of the producers to get Richard Chamberlain to look suited to the role.

Unless you are really curious regarding this earlier attempt to adapt Ludlum's novel having seen the Matt Damon vehicle that crams ten times more espionage into half the time one to miss.

I ordered this film by mistake thinking it was the Matt Damon version but we quite enjoyed it anyway. Seemed quite long but had good acting, a lot of familiar actors, obviously a little dated.
