Edward Cole (Nicholson) is a corporate billionaire who is currently sharing a hospital room with blue-collar mechanic Carter Chambers (Freeman). Though initially the pair seems to have nothing in common, conversation gradually reveals that both men have a long list of goals they wish to accomplish before they 'kick the bucket'. A beautiful film brilliantly acted.
An emotional ride of the lives of two dying men coming to grips with the end of their lives. Freeman and Nicholson gel together so well as they form a friendship which will leave you with tears in your eyes and a smile on your face.
I think it is good to laugh and this film had some very funny moments. I know the story is a bit shocking for some people as dying can be a hard subject to deal with. This film deals with it great and I hope I meet a guy like him if I ever get sick.
Teleportation: For Seth Brundle in The Fly it was a leap too far. For Captain Kirk and crew, a relatively laborious business. And for Nightcrawler in X-2, a superpower with some unpleasant side-effects, like blue skin and yellow eyes.
