    Powerful film

This is a tale of hopes and happiness turning into something terrible. It starts with a happy couple, who get married and things seem rosey. But over time the husband becomes increasingly aggressive and abusive. You can really sympathise with the wife, as it shows her dispair at the situation and how you can become stuck in this kind of marriage. The results of the husbands beatings are quite shocking, but I think the film warrants it, in order to show the horror some women live with. The fact that the couple have children and they have to grow up in this kind of environment makes the story even more tragic. A good dramatisation, highly recommended.
