    forget it

    They should leave classic films like the Butterfly effect alone - with the exception of the director's cut of the original - which was a nice alternative to the original ending. This is tv movie of the week material. Not a patch on the first. How could it be?.

    Poor sequel

    The original Butterlfy Effect was excellent, which is why I chose to watch this sequel. However, as is the case with most sequels, this was a poor attempt to build on what was an excellent plot premise. The story is unimaginative and the acting is not much to shout about. I gave it 2 stars because I actually finished watching it , largely in hope that it would get better and would at least start getting close to matching the brilliance of the original. I was left very disappointed.

    If you haven't seen the original, see that - it's excellent. If you have, only waste your time on this sequel if you have exhausted the rest of the library and really have nothing better to do.
