    forget it

They should leave classic films like the Butterfly effect alone - with the exception of the director's cut of the original - which was a nice alternative to the original ending. This is tv movie of the week material. Not a patch on the first. How could it be?.

    OH MY GOD!

possibly if not THE worst film i've ever seen, don't bother watching this, just imagine the worst film ever then times it by 1000, i'de rather watch that than this film.

    Unispired and unchallening sequel

In summary, there was absolutely no point in making this movie. Extremely weak plot, storyline and no depth in the characters. Although the whole idea and concept has already been explored in the original it is not surprising that the movie would be somewhat predicatable. However, even if considered a movie in its own right this movie offers nothing to the audience. If only I could stare at a photo before I added this movie to my list, go back in time and stop myself from ever renting it.

Fly away and don't darken my doors again!

Utter tripe! Such a massive contrast to the 1st film. Should have realised this with none of the original actors being in the line up. Definitely avoid this one. I feel ripped off at £1.99!!!

    Good

For people who enjoys day dreaming like me, then this is for you. If you could change the past, then you would do what the main character did, change it. This is not as good as the original one with Ashton Kutcher but still this is good.

    Mr

If you haven't seen the original - DO! It's a great, and underrated movie.

BE2 is not up to this very high standard, but it is a much better film than I expected from a sequel. It really lives up to it's premise, that is, it is another film about the butterfly effect (Change one thing, change everything) but a completely different story. It's amazing to me that they managed to shoot it in 20 days!

See 'The Butterfly Effect' first - it has a stronger story and had a lot more money spent on it, but if you enjoy it, don't miss this 'Alternate take' on the idea.

    A cash in!

Simply a cash in on the name value of the Butterfly effect

The first film was really good, and a format that i have seldom seen before.

This film is obviously just cashing in on the name, and it no where near as good as the first.

The special effects arnt there, and the storyline is weak.

Worth a watch if nothing better is on the TV, but dont go out of your way to see it

    Well, I enjoyed it anyway!

I'm not quite sure why there are all the negative comments about this film - I quite enjoyed it! I was not expecting too much from it after reading all the reviews and I think it helped that I had seen the first film so that I understood the concept better, but it certainly passed the time quite pleasantly whilst I was doing the dishes!

Go on, give it a go - it's not pretending to be some fantastic, Blockbuster film and it's probably no more than an extended version of an 'X-Files' episode or something of that ilk, but you might surprise yourself and like it too!

    Dull with a capital D!

I think the heading says it all. My husband left after the first half hour whilst I grinned and bared it for the duration. Wish I had left when he did! The plot was predictable and the acting poor. A poor man's Butterfly Effect 1.

Not even close to the first

This film is a slur on the original films name, the first was sooooo good and this one to be so bad was a real disappointment, Miss-able that's for sure.

    Oh Dear!

OMG!!! How rubbish! I fell asleep in the end it was sooooooooooo boring. How could they ruin a fantastic idea for a film by giving it such a c**p sequal???!!
