Very funny!
By WatchinDaMovies (8 reviews) , 18 May 2013I really enjoyed this movie, it had an okay story, and a LOT of laughs. I really enjoyed it however, it does not nearly compare to some of Will Ferrel's previous work, although this movie is hilarious in parts.- Was this review helpful to you?

a return to form for Ferrell
By davidginsberg (52 reviews) from London , 16 May 2013The Campaign: based on Will Ferells recent form I was expecting to be disappointed by this and though it is uneven at times and obviously too long we found a lot of this extremely funny. Will Ferrell is a southern congressman who gets caught up in a s** scandal and finds himself running against Zack Galifinackis effeminate but well connected challenger. There are some very good gags in this in here that work as pure comedy as well as a satire on the American political system. If you like Talledega Nights this is very much in the same vein. My two favourite bits are the Rainbow Land debate and the Pilipino house maid. Nice to see Ferell in something properly funny. The ending is a bit weak though and felt like they didnt know how to finish it off.- Was this review helpful to you?

On the fence
By chicken_me_not (7 reviews) from Bristol , 28 Apr 2013This film did have laughs but we Brits really do just have a different sense of humour then our friends across the pond. This is American comedy heavy so some bits, which were supposed to be 'hilarious', to me, were only mildly amusing at best. That said, if you like silly fun films and are a fan of Will Ferrell you will enjoy this. It's no Dodgeball or Anchorman though.- Was this review helpful to you?
