A Good Thriller
By a customer from Ashford, England , 04 Feb 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
A very good although outdated thriller on the same basis as The Dual although instead of a lorry, a car. Keeps you in suspence throughout but disappointing ending. However, if you like suspence and a thrill, this is the film for you.- Was this review helpful to you?

(14)The Car....JAWS on dry land!!

Although it seems a little dated and weak, it still can give you a shock or two, when you don't expect it!- Was this review helpful to you?

The coolest, creepiest car in any film. Sadly, everything else is forgettable.
By MrStrange (46 reviews) from Isle Of Wight , 16 May 2012The car is the star, make no mistake! It looks fantastic and has a real sense of menace about it. Sadly, the rest of the film is so dated it becomes very mediocre when the car's not on screen.
All characters and dialogue might as well have been lifted out of any random, cheesy 70's cop show. The characters are pretty boring, and there's little to make you care about them, which is at odds with how creepy the film gets when the car is on screen.
I dislike remakes, but this film would be a prime candidate for a quality 're-imagining' methinks. There's a classic horror-thriller in here, but it's smothered by a thick layer of 70's cheese.
Worth a watch, but just to see the car.- Was this review helpful to you?
