Spectacular... Impressive... Thrilling
What is it with movie makers... just as soon as one cave horror film leaves the screens another shortly follows?
Compared to The Descent this one has less blood, but better storyline, more variety on 'monsters' but still couldn't believe it was only a 12?!?
The cave scenes themselves were brilliant, every cavern had it's own theme. Definately worth going to watch, but not if you are about to visit the Cheddar Gorge whose takings must be down this year due to the onslaught of the cave horror shockers of 2005!
Take a little of Alien, a splash of Jaws, a pinch Predator and a sprinkle of the Thing. Mix together. To that blend some reasonable special affects, some dire acting, a weak storyline and don't forget to leave out the script. Place in the DVD player and bake for 90 mins. The result; the lack of cohesion you expect of cinematic diarrhoea.
