Nothing there
By nutcase (53 reviews) from Windermere , 28 Jun 2008[Highly rated reviewer]
Beware reading a plot outline before you see this - that's all there is. There's no subplot, no character development, no subtlety, no twists. It just is what it is, and takes its time about it. One might even think it was designed for children.- Was this review helpful to you?

(477)Entertaining, but.............
By a customer , 04 May 2013Well acted and if you enjoy the Narnia series you won't be disappointed. However at times the battle scenes did seem prolonged thus giving the impression the producers were trying to stretch the story to fit the allocated film length.- Was this review helpful to you?

Again, into Narnia...
By WongOrWhite (101 reviews) , 07 Jan 2013If you liked the first one and are into the whole Narnia/fanstasy world thing then you're going to like this...the story isn't bad but it's the battles that really shine...truly epic and wonderful to watch even if it's just a bunch of kids waving pretend swords around...- Was this review helpful to you?

Overwhelmingly Dull
By djcooper (16 reviews) from Loughborough , 08 May 2012We quite enjoyed The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Buoyed by our childhood memories of the original TV series and found it to be an entertaining film.
In retrospect we should have just watched that one and left it! There's nothing especially wrong with it... just nothing really happens. The two older kids appear to be less likeable (and worse at acting) than in the previous film.
We got to what felt like the end (1h 35m) but unfortunately it turned out there is ANOTHER HOUR LEFT.
We watched the final hour in fast forward and nothing remarkable happens, a bit of a battle and that sort of thing. Really if you want to watch this sort of thing, grab one of the LOTR films as it's been done better before.- Was this review helpful to you?
