Valerie Cherish is a star! The Comeback is a subtle gem

This is a great show. Lisa Kudrow plays a hasbeen who attempts to relaunch her career with a new sitcom and a reality show documenting her comeback. It's filmed as 'raw footage' from the making of the reality show. The humour is quite subtle and not a million miles away from her character in Friends, only of course she is more 'Hollywood' and pretentious. With only 13 episodes this is a great show for a lazy weekend. A+- Was this review helpful to you?

Kudrow is amazing
By Adz79 (2 reviews) , 01 Oct 2011One of the best shows ever created. Lisa Kudrow is sensational, her performance is real, keenly observed and very, very funny. First couple of eps are kind of slow but once you connect with the character you can't wait to see what happens to her next. I can't praise Lisa Kudrow enough, she is unbelievable as Valerie Cherish. I urge everyone to invest time into this show, it WILL pay off and you'll discover a new favorite.- Was this review helpful to you?

boring rubbish
By a customer , 21 Aug 2011i was looking forward as i like lisa kudrow but it was pathetic and the fact that she wrote and produced such rubbish is beyond me it seems that it only took the writers abot 10 minutes to write the entire seaon one- Was this review helpful to you?

I thoroughly enjoyed this sitcom. Its brilliantly done and I love Valerie as a character even though you cringe behind your cushion so much :). The episodes get better and better and I felt slightly bereft at the end, I would have loved a season 2.
