reminiscent of Perfect Dark
By Maverickmac (3 reviews) from Barking , 23 Jul 2009[Highly rated reviewer]
This game is a big about damn time, the wii mote is perfect for this genre (with a mouse being the only thing as accurate) and it is strange how nobody has taken the effort to make a wii only game (as a pose to a port/remake).
The game does a very good job of creating an immersive single player experience with a decent enough story and real life locations e.g. the pentagon, my only complaint is that it is a little short (as seems to be the trend with shooters) however there are achivements and harder difficulty levels as well as secrets to uncover which should bring you back for more.
The main crust is the multi-player which offers capture the flag, team deathmatch etc. The online support is very good with a match being created quite quickly players thtat drop out can be replaced by new players which helps to keep the match going and not falling apart (ala Halo etc)
I would reccomend a purchase for this overall bet for those who are wary of course borrrow beg or steal!- Was this review helpful to you?

Must try harder
By Barbellion (7 reviews) from North Yorkshire , 23 Nov 2010Full marks to the developer for championing the Wii as a platform for the FPS genre. But minus several million for producing something pretty uninspiring and generic to play. Everything about it, from the vapid plot to the meh gunplay, is solid but utterly uninteresting. There's little to keep you playing, and the alien weaponry is beyond dull. Now GoldenEye OO7 is out, there is no need for this particular straw to be clutched at. There's a game that proves how amazing an FPS with Wii controls can be, and it succeeds in every way that The Conduit dearly tries to.- Was this review helpful to you?

A real grower!
By ShinBoy (7 reviews) from London , 12 Nov 2010It took me a while to get into The Conduit but I was glad that I persevered. It is not a run-around-and-shoot-everything first person shooter and it takes a while to get used to the controls and the paterns of the various enemies but is an engaging story and one of the best games I've played on the Wii, espcially considering it is a more traditional format.- Was this review helpful to you?
