A class act
By a customer , 26 Nov 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
This film is a class act. A lot of attention to detail has been pain stakingly made to asure historical accuracy. I would rate this film very highly. A must see.- Was this review helpful to you?

A gripping and well acted movie. The fact that it is a true story makes the film very interesting and it certainly is history in the 'making'.- Was this review helpful to you?

Justice assassinated
By a customer , 25 Apr 2013I enjoyed this film. I was not previously aware of the trial of the conspirators to the assassination of Lincoln and found the film fascinating. Politicians showing themselves capable of forsaking human rights for what they see as political gains. Does this sound familiar? Well worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not dull but interesting!
By Chantal (1106 reviews) from London , 17 Jan 2013Very good movie that never made it to the cinema. Lots of actors from other shows are there which makes it even better. It's a different trial drama from a true story. It really captures the mood of the time I believe- Was this review helpful to you?

An Interesting Piece of American History
By a customer , 29 Jul 2012Interesting but not alarmingly so. However, I think that Mary Surratt's story must be told, if not to prove how the laws of any 'Constitution' can be bent to satisfy the desires of the majority.
The film was well made and well acted. I can voice no disapprovals as I anticipated a long drawn out legal battle given the details of the trailer. My only criticism would be that there was an opportunity to air just a little of Abraham Lincoln's ideology but, of course, this never happened.
I would recommend 'The Conspirator' for viewing but only if the viewer is into a little heavy drama.- Was this review helpful to you?
