Watch for the Special Effects

I thought that this movie was predictable and that I was going to be disappointed. As the movie started I immediately thought of 'Journey to the Center of the Earth'. OK ... there are a lot of similarites, but the acting and special effects of 'The Core' far outweigh those of its predecessor. Both Aaron Eckhart and Hilary Swank play out their roles with perfection and are aided by a strong supporting cast. The storyline is strong but unfortuanely it is predictable as I have mentioned previously. However, I wasn't as disappointed as I thought I was going to be as there were several unexpected twists and turns in the script that takes the viewer by surprise. Well worth watching just for the special effects alone.
