(6)A poor adaptation of a classic
By a customer , 23 Apr 2012One of the worst adaptations of the book that I have seen. Richard Chamberlin does a poor job of portraying Dantes and so the story of merciless revenge becomes a daytime soap!- Was this review helpful to you?

disappointing film
By nicknamed (2 reviews) , 05 Jul 2011This was a very disappointing film, which managed to miss out all the good bits from the book, and felt pointless.- Was this review helpful to you?

revenge, served cold
By JackDW (18 reviews) from York , 14 Oct 2010This isn't the newest or the biggest budget film version of the Count of Monte Cristo, but it doesn't need to be. The writing, acting and direction are all more than good enough to draw you into the fantasy world of the avenging Count as he rips apart the lives of those who destroyed him. Contains some moderate swashbuckling.- Was this review helpful to you?
