    [Highly rated reviewer]

This excellent film is as interesting for the way it has been made and the passion and lengths that the makers went to, as it is for the insight into the Japanese motives for sustaining the killing of these beautiful, intelligent creatures for export to dolphinariums, as well as the often hidden problems for the human consumption chain.

A fascinating film which has some truly shocking scenes. Extras are worth watching too.

this documentary touches upon more than just the annual slaughter of the dolphins in Taiji, Japan: Issues of government manipulation, appropriated cultural identity, sea world entertainment industry, food industry, negligent human consciousness, consciousness, integrity and (thank goodness) conviction. I would say not only important but necessary viewing for everyone

I am not the sort of person to read or write reviews about films, but i was so shocked and disgusted at the footage about the behind the scene's of the world's biggest sea world center's especially to do that to the most majestic, intelligent mammals of the the big blue. And i just wanted to say a great big thankyou to the people who went them extra miles to show the world this horrible footage of what goes on under the goverment's noses so here's my voice in saying that them poor dolphin's need a voice and me and my friends and family are here for them even if i live miles and miles away.

Amazing piece of documentary making and hats off to the film makers for risking all that they did in making this film. Its disgusting that this kind of thing still happens in this day and age to be honest, the Japanese government poisoning their own people, just wow. Please sign the petition.

  • Flipper's revenge

A really thought provoking documentary with a special hit for those of us brought up on Flipper. O'Barry is a star of past and present trying to make amends for the monster circus his kids' series created and the sideline in polluted food which followed. The Japanese on the other hand should be ashamed of their corrupt attempts to keep this trade alive but hidden from public view A must see.

I missed this film when it was released at the cinema and caught up with it today. I knew it would not be a pleasant film, but the moral bankruptcy of the Japanese defending these practices is off the scale. An extraordinary piece of journalism to expose this.
