James Bond Daniel Craig is in talks to replace Sherlock Holmes star Robert Downey Jr. in new movie Cowboys & Aliens. Downey Jr. reportedly quit the project, directed by Iron Man filmmaker Jon Favreau, to concentrate on a Sherlock Holmes sequel and now Craig is the frontrunner to land the lead. Robert Downey Jr. has dropped out of new movie Cowboys And Aliens to concentrate on the Sherlock Holmes sequel, according to reports. The Hollywood actor was set to re-team with Iron Man director Jon Favreau for the sci-fi adventure, based on the 2006 graphic novel of the same name. Director Jon Favreau is in talks to reteam with Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. for a new comic book adaptation of Cowboys And Aliens. Downey Jr. has been linked to the project for over a year, but production has been delayed because studio bosses have yet to appoint a filmmaker to helm the movie. Robert Downey Jr is among a list of celebrities to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Iron Man star is set to receive the accolade along with fellow actors Ralph Fiennes and Sir Ben Kingsley. The stars will be officially unveiled on the Hollywood Boulevard during next year.
