Awful

This has got to be the worst film I have seen. It makes you feel awful after watching it. It's sick, I should have read the plot outline more carefully. Who in the world would want to see a Mother attempt to kill her children. Please don't watch it. There were no reviews available, which is why I am writing this!

Sick, vile and just awful!

This film was terrible. Why on earth it was ever even considered as a concept for a horror film is beyond my comprehension. This is the story of a woman who lives in an isolated farmhouse with 4 children aged between a few months to the eldest who is 10 years old. Her husband is a trucker who goes on the road for a while and she snaps with postnatal depression and decides to kill all her kids, beginning with the baby. It's distrurbing and horrific, given that these kids are being murdered slasher movie style, and the plot is terrible. A film focusing on postnatal depression and the consequences thereof would be one thing but the Directors of this film clearly thought that they could make a successful slasher film with kids being attacked, chased and eventually stabbed to death in front of their siblings, by their deranged mother, while crying and wetting themselves; it's just so wrong. It's an insult really to anyone with postnatal depression given that it explains this obviously mental woman's butchering of her kids on this illness which is obviously well off track.

It states 'based on true events' and after watching the film I was pretty haunted by that thought. But the true event it is based on was a woman who lost the plot in Texas in 2001 and drowned her 5 kids, which while awful, is very much not very close to ripping your children apart with a hatchet, slasher movie style. Even a film actually closer to the horrible true story would at least be a moving and shocking insight into postnatal depression, not a gross slasher film with kids.

I really regret adding this film given that as a mother I will forever be haunted by some of the images shown, and I am someone who really enjoys a good horror flick. But this is too far to try to shock and it just achieves the effect of disgusting and sickening the audience.

Do not bother to rent this dvd, I have had the misfortune to watch it and it is not worth your time as it is a poor film with amateurish acting.

I have a stong stomach for horror films and even i find this film sick, if you are a parent or have children close to you do not watch this film. i can't stress enough how discusted i felt watching even part of it.as a new parent i thought it should be banned.

Turned it off after about 25 mins. There's no entertainment value whatsoever watching a mother kill her children. I wonder where do they get the funding to make such a sick film as this, whether based on true events or not.

Is there a random film option?

People here rent a film about a mother that kills her children and then moan that the film is about a woman that kills her children,what the...?Do people just rent random films and not read what they are about?Another possiblity is they did read and go 'oh i'll rent that' and then moan about how sick it is when they rented it in the first place.The world has gone mad.As it turns out it's quite a rubbish film.

Didn't really like this film, as a Mum i found it quite disturbing.

Rubbish

This is one of the worse films i've seen this year. Sick film which makes uneasy viewing especially if you have children!

It's not supposed to be funny.. but I laughed!

To those who say that this film is sick, I can't say that I found it so. I did however find that a film supposed to be so dramatic and thought provoking made me laugh out loud in several places, it was so stupid. One thing that saves this film is that it is quite short and soon over. This is a good thing. If you have had the misfortune to begin watching it in the first place that is.

Altogether a terrible film.
