Starting out on a simple gunrunning exercise, Luke Ward (Jameson Parker) soon finds himself caught up in an enterprise where the risks - and the rewards - are much, much bigger. It begins when Ward saves a young girl from certain death and her father shows his gratitude with the gift of a mysterious globe known as the 'Crystal Eye'. When the globe reveals the secret location of the lost treasure of Ali Baba, Ward sets off on a journey which will see him encounter snakes, crocodiles, deserts, mountains, and the fiesty daughter of the US ambassador, before he reaches his goal.

Be warned the director of this film is not Giuseppe Tornatore as stated but is directed by Joe Tornatore thats why this film is a load of crap.

Absolute pants - and not directed by Giuseppe Tornatore but by someone by the name of Joe Tornatore - don't bother, it's not even worth one star

So bad it is impossible to sit through

I was expecting great things from this film, as it is said to be by the same director that was responsible for 'Cinema Paradiso', 'Marlena' and 'The Professor'. It certainly shows that even great men can have their 'off' days.

It seems amazing that this trite and cliched offering ever got released. I wonder if there are two directors called Giuseppe Tornatore? It is the only rational explanation I can think of.

I feel guilty about awarding it 1 out of 7, but it really was impossible to watch and stay conscious.
