Get beyond the hype, sit back and enjoy a good story, a few scares and some good twists.
There isn't a dull moment. My only negative would be that the book makes the lead characters a bit more personable - Hanks is a bit too plastic and the chemistry between him and Tautou is non existent.
Is it a good movie? Yes!
If you've read the book (which I had) you have to watch it to see how it's interpreted. I personally thought it stayed loyal to the book and the casting was fab! I really liked Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon.
For those who haven't read the book, I think you'd enjoy this as a relatively easy watch, but you don't get the full extent (indepth) of what the book was alledging with regard to the Holy Grail.
