The final film of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises delivers in an utterly satisfying way.

Brooding and brilliant....
By PGM (22 reviews) from Somerset UK , 01 Feb 2013[Highly rated reviewer]
Revision to my previous negative comment, which was due entirely to the delay in the movie being available even after the 'available to rent' date.
Having seen the film at long last, I think it's a terrific piece of work and a worthy ending to Nolan's trilogy. Dark and brooding, despite the long running time, there was plenty to hold the attention. Unlike sequels that have gone before from lesser directors, the law of diminishing returns certainly does not apply to this particular franchise. This is epic film making...

(245)Half way there
By AVSheard (54 reviews) , 25 May 2013The first film was a masterpiece the second was terrible and this one is somewhere in between. It is not so messed up a the last one but the plot just isn't that interesting. The film is filled with stuff to amaze the audience but the special effects are nothing new. So left watching one explosion after another with chase scenes fitted in here and there. The bit with actual plot are placed in here and there but are confusing due to there being far to many character. This all made the film so long that I often got bored during it. The fight at the end made no sense either because if you really thought about Bane's plan you would soon realize that it made no sense. The heroes should never of stood a chance of being able to stop Bane because he decides to wait 6 months before triggering the bomb. The film would have been a lot better if it lost at least 30mins, a few characters and all the random fighting. It dose however make up for the second film in the trilogy which was a real let down.- Was this review helpful to you?

Dark Knight Good Night
By a customer , 18 May 2013Pretentious over-long twaddle I dozed off at one stage Expected so much after the first two - especially the second Ludicrous plot with more holes than a colander and a two dimensional baddie Please don't make a sequel if it is as bad as this one- Was this review helpful to you?
