By Tom Charity from LOVEFiLM
The Dark Knight rockets the Batman legacy to heights never imagined, fueled by Heath Ledger's amazing, Oscar-winning re-invention of The Joker.

(1355)Absolutley Superb
By Pawlo (14 reviews) , 17 Jun 2013By far one of the.. Best films I've had the pleasure of watching. Heath ledgers performance was phenomenal, the action scenes are great, the budget for this film was well and truly blown as were most buildings and the story existed. Where as it would mostly fail in such a well acted action movie. I loved it. This is a film you can watch over and over and never get tired of it.- Was this review helpful to you?

A defining work
By RJNeb2 (934 reviews) from London , 29 Apr 2013In which the comic superhero movie blindingly comes of age with Nolan taking the Caped Crusader down into the murky depths as he does battle with the Joker, a man devoid of morals whose only interest is to administer chaos. It has to be said that Ledger is simply stunning in the part but everybody else is on their A game. Not only is this an exhilarating action thriller with some amazing setpieces, it also raises all sorts of interesting questions about themes like vigilantism and terrorism and is a major step up from its highly confident predecessor, 'Batman Begins'.- Was this review helpful to you?

Harlequin Joker
By a customer , 09 Apr 2013I love the Batman films but this one with the joker is really epic. I love the character of the joker and how completely insane he is. Great film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Don't waste 2 hours of your life on this
By a customer , 05 Apr 2013Long, boring, characterless, depressing and repulsively (although mercifully not graphically) violent. Full of unnecessary plot twists. Every time I thought the agony was over, there was another twist and I had to sit through another 15 minutes of boredom and violence. A great cast wasted. Heath Ledger is about the best thing in it. He's a great loss to the film world but he really shouldn't be remembered for this nonsense.- Was this review helpful to you?
