Who Wrote this rubbish?
By a customer from London , 03 Apr 2009[Highly rated reviewer]
Who on earth wrote this rubbish, Acting is abismal, Special effects are appaling, and Im so annoyed i have wasted my time renting this tosh. This is a typical Tom Cruise film and even he had the good sence to avoid it, Do yourselves a great favour and avioid this like the plague. ABSOLUTE DRIVEL.- Was this review helpful to you?

(118)Value of Humanity!
By Brighouse1971 (155 reviews) from Brighouse, WY , 28 Jun 2011After I read all the bad reviews for this movie, I got really curious.
And I must say that I really dont agree with all the rubbish reviews.
Certainly this movie is a low budget movie with some new actors, but its not a bad one and the story is not so unrealistic than in other ( big budget ) movies.
If you count out the few mushy scenes, than this movie is quite a nice SciFi Flick.
With some pretty good shots and nice reasonable CGI.
Because this is a SciFi movie it needs your imagination to complete this for your own good.
And after I watched the movie, I really enjoyed the Bonus feature with the Behind-the-scene look and the Outtakes.
Quite interesting and amusing, plus another way to see all those great actors in a more casual setting, with their relaxed attitudes and humor.
So if you like independent low budget movies, than you like this and dont listen to all those rubbish reviews and make up your own mind!- Was this review helpful to you?

Making films without care.
By a customer from Swindon UK , 25 Apr 2010Great title, but dont think you are in for a good film. The old black & white film was so much much better.- Was this review helpful to you?

Don't waste your time
By a customer from Reading UK , 21 Apr 2010I didn't even bother to reach the end of this film before reaching for the stop button. I should have guessed that its a (V BAD) remake of the classic film, The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951). Low budget, cheap sets, and DREADFUL acting and actors, that make some of our soap stars look like Oscars winners!
Please, don't bother to rent, buy or see.- Was this review helpful to you?

The day my head dropped
By drachen (4 reviews) from scarborough , 17 Feb 2010it only took me a few minutes to realise that I had rented the wrong film..not only that but had selected a real stinker. The acting was wooden, the plot non existant, and the special effects were laughable and must of cost 50p to produce. Why oh why was this film made ?...please please! avoid it like the plague and do something more interesting like watching paint dry or biting your nails.- Was this review helpful to you?

The Worst Film Ever
By edi (10 reviews) from Edinburgh , 11 Feb 2010I ordered the wrong film, was expecting to see Keanu Reeves, but when watching it thought that a porn movie had been sent to me instead. Luckily no scenes of a sexual nature just really bad acting!- Was this review helpful to you?
