At the height of her soap opera/pop singer fame, Neighbours star Kylie Minogue made her feature film debut in this passable tale of teenage torment set in 1950s Australia. I watched this several years ago, when it was on TV in the wee hours of the morning. I was only 4 when it was made, and so I didn't know Kylie has done a 'serious' film. I was totally shocked as the film went on. The film deals with subjects such as domestic abuse, death and teenage pregnancy. Minogue and her beau are fanastic, supported well by the 2 other 'young lovers' in this film. The scenes just before the end will break your heart, and I guarantee you will need some tissues handy for the end.
THE DELINQUENTS is probably one of the best movies EVER made!
I was 7 when this film was released, and I have had it on vhs since then!
If they released thison dvd now, or even re-released itat the cinema, it would be number one in the charts for weeks and weeks!
Kylie Minogue (even if you are not a fan) is absolutley fantastic in this film, and it was also her first ever movie, tho you wouldnt know!
Please release this on dvd so that everyone can enjoy it as much as I have for the last 16years!!! CLASSIC
