Macabre and gory horror that plays expertly on a common phobia.
This film revolves around a dentist who is obsessed with oral hygene slow drop into madness this is triggered by catching his wife with the pool cleaner using her mouth to pleasure him!! This links in with his obsession with the oral hygiene bit.
The dentist goes mad and captures and tortures those involved and also some innocent bystanders. The torture involves various tools of dentistry including teeth pulling and drilling enough to make anyone with a phobia winch.
The effects themselves are a little suspect in places most notibly the in mouth shots, the drilling and blood look pretty good though. The dentist himself is pretty good in his role and pays madness well.
Defo worth a watch
this is not a bad film. Basically, the rich dentist sees his wife giving the 'pool cleaner' a special kind of tip (involving her mouth and his genitals!). this sends the dentist crazy because he's obsessed with cleanliness and associates everything and everyones actions with a clean/decaying set of teeth. From this point on his obsession with cleanliness grows and everytime he sees a slightly discoloured set of teeth he is reminded of the 'filthy' affair his wife had. Some interesting and well shot scenes, the visions we see through the dentists eyes are rather amusing at times. However... although i like gore in movies, some of the closeups of violent teeth pulling is hard to watch, just a warning though, a good film all the same. I'll be renting the sequel.
