[Highly rated reviewer]the story continues in this sequel to the caving horror film of The Descent.
the sequel continues the story of Sarah (again played by Shauna Macdonald) who, as the only known survivor of the all-female caving expedition gone horrifically wrong, suffers severe psychological trauma.
She accompanies a rescue team back to the cave because Sheriff Vaines is skeptical about her account of events and is convinced Sarah's psychosis hides far darker secrets. Trapped by falling rocks, the rescue party is driven deep into the caverns, and as one by one the fate of the missing girls is revealed. Sarah struggles to stay alive and once again encounters the evil in the deep.
Well worth watching!

Pointless SequelBy manonfireuk (299 reviews) from Liverpool , 17 Apr 2013Given the ending of the first movie I could not understand how a sequel could have been made, especially starring the original star who played the central character. Therefore I watched this more out of curiousity than anything else but I wish I hadn't bothered. It certainly seemed a lot gorier than the first movie but apart from that, this is a completely pointless sequel, it adds nothing to the storyline and almost ruins your memory of the first movie. You have to watch the first film again afterwards just to remind yourself that the original was a tense, well paced horror.
good filmBy jimmz (1 review) , 29 Nov 2012this film was as good as the first till 25 minutes from the end when the disc kept on sticking
Boo ring!By a customer , 26 Nov 2012Bored within the first 5 minutes. Unbelievable script to have the main character enter back into the caves. After leaving us with an ambiguous ending in the first movie I think we should just all think she was hallucinating with regards to a way out and let it rest in peace there.
If you like blood and guts!By Debstar (1 review) , 21 Nov 2012liked the first one? well this was just a gripping and creepy. lots of jump out your seat moments!! If you like a bit of blood and guts, theres plenty of that. worth a watch in my opinion.
Good film. Crazy lady.By Gemnria (2 reviews) , 02 Nov 2012I will never understand why the hell she thinks it's a good idea to go back. I can tell you now, if I was almost eaten by crazy cave people then there's no hell way I'd go back down there, regardless of how 'it might help me', nooo way. No.
