Director and husband of pop veteran Madonna Guy Ritchie is reportedly working on a remake of classic film The Dirty Dozen. According to the Guardian, Snatch director Ritchie is to have a go at remaking the World War Two action movie. The original 1967 film was based on a novel by EM Nathanson and starred Lee Marvin, Ernest Borgnine, Telly Savalas, Charles Bronson and Jim Brown. Veteran actor Donald Sutherland was involved in a car crash in California on Thursday (23Jun11) when his vehicle collided with a cyclist. The Dirty Dozen star, 75, was driving through Santa Monica in his sports utility vehicle (SUV) when the accident occurred and paramedics were called to the scene to treat the unnamed female bike rider. Harrison Ford will be the star at this year's (09) American film festival in Deauville, France - as the organisers' guest of honour. Mann, who was also nominated for an Oscar for 1965's Ship of Fools, was a prolific television and film writer.
