Most TV addicts will have forgotten, if they have ever come across at all, this old BBC series from 1972. Largely filmed in black and white, each episode is a rather stagey play about a leading Edwardian. Some are a bit dull -particularly the one on Edith Nesbit, where nothing much happens- others are brilliant, especially Timothy West as the crooked MP Horatio Bottomley.
