Actor Damian Lewis almost missed out on his big break in Steven Spielberg's 2001 TV series Band Of Brothers by going on an all-night boozing session before meeting the director. The Escapist star played Major Richard Winters in the World War II mini-series, which was co-produced by Tom Hanks, but Lewis admits he came close to blowing his big chance.
