A TravestyBy christopher lloyd from Midlands , 22 Oct 2006
[Highly rated reviewer]The Eye Infinity is an absolutely soul destroying installment to what could have been the best asian horror trilogy ever. It's gone from the eye's genuine scares, to killing ghosts by farting, and breakdance competitions with ghosts. IT IS THAT BAD. Avoid.

Not for horror fans, but fun!By pointofgravity (2 reviews) from Birmingham , 29 Jun 2012If you're looking for a horror film - well, you're halfway there. If you're looking for a comedy film - you're kind of half way there too. If you're looking for a horror/comedy film, you've hit the jackpot. Not in a Shaun of the Dead kind of way, either. I'm talking about the effects, make up and style that asian horror films have, much like previous instalments of The Eye have, ghosts that you'd see in the original 'one missed call', films like that, mixed with the classic 'mo lei tou' humour from Hong Kong.
I'll agree, it's totally not expected for the Pang Brothers to give the third instalment to 'The Eye' series a comedic twist, but all I can say is if you're easily frustrated by a horror series turned funny (in other words, if you can't look on the bright side), then this isn't the film for you. But newcomers to the franchise, you're in for a treat, there's quirks in there for everyone and hey, you might even want to see the previous 'The Eye' films - but I won't spoil them for you.
very funny!By monkeyg (7 reviews) from london , 16 Mar 2012its nothing like eye 1 and 2. i found it very funny. It kind of reminded me of those funny scary movie films.
If you're looking for the scares of The Eye...Look away.By MartinR (7 reviews) from Edinburgh , 24 Jan 2009
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideWhat is it that possesses a celebrated directing trio to destroy their own franchise. Having watched their American directing effort the Messengers (don't bother) before this, I was hoping for a return to form in the third installment of what could have been one of the best horror trilogies of recent years. yes, the second wasn't as good as the first, but I was hoping for a Back to the Future-type trilogy where the thrid installment made it all worthwhile, and you realised the second film was a necessary, if cumbersome, bridge.
Not so, unfortunately. It seems the Pang Brothers have decided they want to be Hollywood, and in attempting to do this have watched the worst that American filmmaking can offer.
The Eye: Infinity is, and I kid you not, the Pang Brother's attempt to remake Scary Movie. The scares are replaced with trite, juvenile jokes. The climax, and trust me I am not spoiling anything for you here, is a group of teenagers surrounded by dead people, and they defend themsleves by farting on the spirits. Yes, that's right. Farting. in another scene, a possessed teenager is mistaken for someone breakdancing, and is challenged to a dance-off whilst the elderlies in the apartment come out of their rooms to clap and whoop along.
No. I am not being funny here. And neither are the Pang Brothers. Much as they think they might be.
Actually made me angryBy KwaidanFan (46 reviews) from London , 05 Dec 2008So, so, so disappointing.
The first two Eye films were excellent but this is dreadful and bears no relation to the quality of the others. Plot is ridiculous, Acting is ridiculous, directing is ridiculous..........No need to go on too much as the other posters sum it up.
This is such a disgrace to the first two films that i actually feel quite angry towards it.
If you've seen and enjoyed the first two then please avoid this if you don't want to feel cheated.
