(252)THE EYE IS ONE TO WATCH WITH YOUR EYES?!?
By ZenZii (145 reviews) from Preston , 30 Aug 2012Jessica Alba plays an accomplished concert violinist but is blind. She goes through surgery and her eyesight is restored, but at what price??? She starts seeing things, shapes visions as she tries to sort out in her own mind what she sees which is quite horrifying. She has to convince her doctor that she sees what the donor of her eyes sees. Wow what a brilliant movie. She goes to see where her donor came from to find out what it is she is supposed to do with these visions which mainly mean death. Can she save the people she was supposed to save??? I won't tell you the end because that would just spoil it. Get watching its great. x x x- Was this review helpful to you?

Audio description
By a customer , 16 Jul 2012I have not watched the films, but listened to it with audio description. A very appropriate film to 'view' with audio description as it is about a girl who is initially blind.
The audio describer is American, and narrates the film like a ghost story. The sense of urgency and fright in his voice can be a bit distracting, but it does add to the tension in the film, and the sound effects you hear.
It's interesting that a horror/thriller can be more scary by removing the image, as the images you picture yourself are often much scarier.
Would recommend.- Was this review helpful to you?

amazing film
By cheesekake (1280 reviews) from uk , 07 Mar 2012ive seen the original japanese version and to be honest normaly i don't like modern covers but in the case of this film I'll make an exception.
The original was hard to undertand specially when it didn't have any subtitles unless you put them on, this film however has great action, scary stuff and basically just out and out amazing film- Was this review helpful to you?

Eye diotic
By Davidd (74 reviews) from South London , 22 Feb 2012Leaden remake of the infinitely more sprightly original by the Pang Brothers (and yes, that movie did have subtitles and no that doesn't automatically make it a bad film). Jessica Alba sleepwalks through the whole thing and the 'apparitions' which were so inventive in the original are reduced to the usual quick cut shadows which seems to be Hollywood shorthand for the supernatural these days. One or two jumpy moments but for the most part a chore to sit through.- Was this review helpful to you?

Good all round Friday night Movie!
By JunkfoodJohn (1 review) , 03 Feb 2012Good Movie, maybe a 15 cert is a bit ott, it would have suited a 12a cert at the most. A few jumps and good story line with good acting. A good Friday night movie for the family :-)- Was this review helpful to you?
