The Fallow nightmare...
By Queenkitty (8 reviews) , 19 Mar 2013[Highly rated reviewer]
What can i say!? Unwillingly slating a movie from my home country, it was an arduous watch! It is very unlike me to give up on a movie half way through, but i ran out of hope for this film. I honestly believe that i could make a better horror movie than this! Sorry, but it's true!- Was this review helpful to you?

(10)the failed fallow fields
By therealporlock (3 reviews) from Wigan , 14 May 2013As some reviews are positive and some not I decided to make my own mind up ,,, and oh dear am I sorry, ,, although the premise wasnt that bad the execution was painful ,,, some nice photograpy was counteracted by long slow scenes were nothing much happened,, the acting was average at best and downright dumb in parts ,, the main protaginist seems to think that if you salvate and spit in every scene then this will portray fear , but in fact he just looked stoopid. The film must be comended though for helping me sleep, as I have been having trouble nodding of lately .... In conclusion , do not believe the positive reviews as they have obviously been written by cast members ...do yourself a favour and avoid this ,,,, and read farmer giles from ham instead ...- Was this review helpful to you?

Better than other reviews suggest!
By CHRISTOBEN (99 reviews) from Loughborough , 18 Apr 2013Not really my cup of tea, but at the same time much better than other reviews suggest .It does try hard to be intelligent and there is a certain amount of suspense, but it is too long-winded and wordy. It certainly won't appeal to fans of blood-soaked slashers or gruesome torture-porn but if you want something a little different, it won't hurt to give it a try.- Was this review helpful to you?

Pinter meets Hammer
By a customer , 14 Apr 2013The Fallow Field isnt for those expecting a gore or torture-fest trip. Its a tight psychological drama at its core and explores themes which are essentially adult at their core: masculine identity, what lies at the raw core of the human condition. In this respect it more like Heart of Darkness then an other text. Its not particularly visceral though it does move to chase in the conclusion, its a well-worked drama more than likely filmed on an overtight budget. Its excellent.- Was this review helpful to you?

Horror-bly bad...
By a customer , 29 Mar 2013Rarely do I give up on a film but, after wasting half an hour on this tripe, enough is enough - really poor acting, ludicrous plot and no redeeming 'so bad it's funny' qualities. It may be British but even a low budget film has to have a plot... Don't waste your time.- Was this review helpful to you?
