  • It's offbeat mixture of highly choreographed comic crises and the occasional bite of reality make for an unexpectedly enticing blend.

    Festive feelgood..

This is a wonderful dream of a movie that just soaks you in and blankets you with warmth. It is one of those very special treats that just makes you feel all warm.. and..oh yes... It will make you cry.. even if you are a 6ft 6 ark welder from Hull. You have been warned, watch it at your own risk with your kleenex.. but just watch it..

    The Family Stoned

The Family Stone was just different! At the end I just felt like there should be something more. There seemed to be a lot of unfinished story lines or just aspects of the movie that could have been more or less part of the movie. I wanted to smack Everett. I know you can't help whom you fall in love with, but your girlfriend's sister? He had every intention of asking Meredith to marry him until Julie showed up. It was definitely more realistic than fantasy, like most romantic comedy type movies. However, I didn't feel a sense of happiness or closure at the end.

    • 24 May 2007

Speculation over whether a movie version of New York drama series Sex and the City increased today as it was claimed the project is due to start filming this autumn. Mario Cantone - who played gay stylist Anthony Marantino in the show but previously starred in Mousehunt and Quiz Show - told MTV that director Michael Patrick King had asked him whether he was available for the film later in the year. The movie could be widely successful if it does come to fruition, given the series' popularity... Read more
