If your children like the books then they will love the film. Not all movies manage to keep my 6 and 8 year old daughters glued to their seats but this was one of them. They have already asked to put it back on the list!- Was this review helpful to you?

By Robin from Winchester , 31 May 2006It was fun. With lots of adventure. I thought the bit in the dungeon was slightly spooky. And the island wasn't as I had imagined it when I read the book. The castle bit was a lot more run-down and flatter than I expected. I liked the characters and the way it was set up was good. (Dan, aged 9)- Was this review helpful to you?

A good film

My daughter aged 11 really enjoyed this film, and I have to admit I enjoyed watching it too. If you enjoyed the books, you'll enjoy the film.
