The film Fantastic Mr Fox is as good as the book and more, with creative story lines and new scenes, this is sure to be a winner with all the family!
This is Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox, you can see the original story in there, but remaking that in stop motion won't direct your film at a very broad audience. Whereas Anderson's take on the story, adding wit, humour, cartoon caper, dysfunctional family oddities, & underground communities of animals and you've got a film appealing to the little ones and the adults.
I didn't have any expectations of this film, just took my mum along because we used to listen to the audio book. And I was very pleasantly surprised. Really really enjoyed it. I thought it was well done, funny, and nicely extended from the original storyline.
If you want a faithful re-telling, this isn't it. If you want an extended, capering adventure, this is it.
