Having established an ancient temple on the planet Earth, the alien Mondoshawan race return in 1914 with four mystic stones, representing the elements, and remove a casket containing the Fifth Element, known as the Supreme Being. In the 23rd century an alien sphere of pure evil threatens the Earth, and priest Cornelius (Ian Holm) prophesies that the Fifth Element is required to defeat it. When an approaching Mondoshowan ship is destroyed, its remnants form into a female humanoid, Leeloo (Milla Jovovich), who is aided by taxi driver Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis). Cornelius realizes that Leeloo is the Fifth Element, and he and Korben set out to reunite her with the other four elements.

Sci fi Gold

Excellent film, immensely watchable, one of Bruce Willis' best performances (I know that's not saying that much) - very good performance from Gary Oldman (as usual) and excellent direction. Comic book-like storyline, I mean that in a good way, and superb direction, plus exquisite costumes from Gaultier. Totally recommended!

This still as visually wonderful as the day it came out Willis is great. Oldman sinister Mila Joovich kooky. Its still a good watch and highly recomended

Futuristic Sci-fi Fantasy Fun!

One of my favourite films of all time. A futuristic fantasy with spiritual overtones... Love is needed to prevent the destruction of earth. Visually stunning, well-plotted, great characterizations and some fun performances by Willis, Gary Oldman, Mila Jovovich and Ian Holm. Comic relief by Chris Tucker. Bzzz! Bzzz Bzzz! Are you green? I'm a middle-aged woman who LOVES this film!

Vacuous Pulp

Utter, utter, utter crap. I would rather watch Die Hard 1000 than any movie where Bruce Willis tries to be sort of funny. It's not entertaining in any way and is just a complete waste of everything, including these words. Don't rent it!

Without the stellar cast this film would never have made any money. A good start is badly let down by a shambolic ending. A shame.

strange and a bit weird

willis seemed to go to weird dimensions with his film at one point, and I think this film was at that point.

really couldnt understnd the story and just found it too strange
