The Fighting Seabees
The Pacific, 1942. Construction boss Wedge Donovan hits out at the law which prevents his workers from being armed, therefore, becoming easy prey for the Japanese. With the help of Washington he sets up an armed engineering outfit- a Construction Battalion (or Seabee). Bullheaded and impatient, Wedge makes some costly mistakes. When his men come under fire on a deadly assignment in the South Seas he disobeys orders and incurs many fatalities, teaching himself in the process the need for his men to receive proper military training. Wedge still finds time, though, to romance roving reporter Constance Chesley who just happens to be his commander's girl! See Wayne jitterbug and drive a bulldozer single-handed into enemy lines in this gripping tale!
