Better than the average documentary
By Michael McGhie from Bury, Lancashire. , 07 Jul 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
This is a recent account of Marilyn's career which is well worth viewing. In particular it features a careful, and very effective, restoration of Marilyn's last, uncompleted, feature, 'Something's Got To Give'. This runs for half an hour or so and plays just as the film was intended, except that it comes to a shuddering halt just as in real life. It is very poignant.- Was this review helpful to you?

(3)Something got to give
By a customer from London , 24 Oct 2008I love this documentary, there are many scenes that I have not seen before. Marilyn is so beautiful and so perfect, slim and her beauty is still there, all her expressions are there, like we all have seen times and times before. Few months after she was dead and 'something got to give' was never completed. It is wonderful to see part of the movie restored and very sad when you realize that you will never see the end!- Was this review helpful to you?

Wonderful
By a customer from lanarkshire, scotland , 30 Jul 2005I have seen many documentaries about Marilyn and this is one of the best. Alot of the footage has never been in any other documentary and it was facsinating to see. It was interesting to hear from the people who worked along side her in 'Something's Got To Give'. It was moving to see Marilyn seemingly happy and looking radiant for it all to come to a tragic end. Also included is what was filmed with Marilyn on her last picture as it should have been seen. A must for Marilyn fans.- Was this review helpful to you?
