    Yawn.

This is picking up mixed reviews, so thought I'd add my 2p worth.

First off, I love the Final Destination series, it was a clever twist on the whole 'teen slasher' genre.

However, this movie just looks tired, with laughably poor traps set by 'death'. It's like the FD team have run out of ideas and enthusiasm.

Same for the actors - you will never have seen acting as wooden as this.

Don't get me wrong, it was a good way to kill a few hours in 3D at the cinema - the effects though clearly CGI were still entertaining - and genuinely startled the audience (some even ducked!)

However, on DVD with none of the 3D, it's really not worth watching...

    What a let down

I know Final Destination has never been reknowned for famous actors and deep storylines but this was a complete let down. I saw it in 3D- I don't think there would be much point seeing it 2D- it was clearly made for a 3D screen.

I'm no film critic but I thought the acting was awful, and the ending was just pointless. A couple of good deaths but certainly not worth the money it cost

They should have stopped at 3!

I really like the first 3 movies, but this one is a dissappointment. It seemed to be detached from any of the other films, the only reference to anything from before was a 10 second mention about the plane crash from the first movie. Sometimes it almost seemed too comical. Plus the ways in which people died were just too overdone, it was like machines were operating themselves and inanimate objects moving around on their own, at least in the first movies the accidents were believable. The only reason I have given it 2 stars is the fact it is in 3D and made me jump a couple of times.

    WOW!

That was fantastic- just been to see this film in 3D and it was amazing- film itself is worth watching if you liked 1 and 2 (3 was a bit ropey) but this is much better, not sure if it would be as good in 2D though. acting ok and there were plenty of laughs and gore, with extra oomph by things coming at you from all angles- go see it you won't regret it!!

Good but glad it is THE FINAL Destination

This was the first 3D film I have seen at the cinema and I was very impressed with the effects. The picture is very clear and the 3D glasses add a lot of depth to the film.. even when random body parts are not being thrown out of the screen at the audience.

The actual movie itself is very predictable and is exactly the same as the other 3 FD's but with a slightly funnier angle...

It is still very entertaining as I enjoy watching the new ways in which the film writers kill off the cast one by one. Since Final Destination 2, this seems to be the sole intention of these films...

I would recommend you hurry and see this film while still at the cinema because on DVD it will just be the same as all the others..

    Death by Coffee!

Like most, I like the Novelty of 3D movies however the glasses are exceptionally uncomfortable and the special effects of this movie did not warrant having it screened on 3D and wearing those black nasties for more than an hour and a half!!.I would have happily watched it normally and would certainly have not liked it any more or less. I have watched all the Final Destinations and this one was nothing special.

The usual gore: but it's all been seen and done before with tweaks and variations,so it no longer holds the shock factor to viewers.

Actually watch out for some VERY BLATANT Clues to the ending. Death by Coffee(coffee shop name) being the most obvious, when I saw the name of the coffee shop I guessed the ending quite accurately and quite quickly! Time for Final Destination franchise to either reinvent itself or retire as it's just getting tired and old as far as plot and effects are concerned.

    Death by CAFFEINE!

This film is definitely made for 3D, I think it will be very boring in 2D. I agree with other reviewers, predictable story, terrible acting and the same style killings. Great effects though! The swimming pool scene is probably my favourite!

    Make this the FINAL destination....

Okay, I actually am a fan of the F.D 'series'. Well, actually I really

liked the first and second. The third then began to become weaker, and

the FINAL (here's hoping) destination was the weakest and lamest yet.

You know the synopsis - some American teen has a premonition and then

he/she figures it can be broken or changed and so on and so forth... I

guess after 3 of these films it becomes difficult to create new and

interesting ideas, and it shows. The first two were far more inspired,

and as far as 'death' goes, it seemed somehow more plausible and indeed

possible (remember the plane crash and the motor-way pile up?) In this

instalment all we have are a cast of wooden chumps we couldn't care

less about. Couple that with the unbelievable, verging on the

ridiculous events that take place. Pretty much everything involves

gasoline, electricity and sparks, instruments or machinery that don't

work properly, to morons who couldn't put a fuse in let alone be taken

seriously at their 'job' (hazardous, unbelievable and utterly

    ridiculous).

If this is the best the F.D team can do with their 'franchise' - quit

    NOW.

    Weak, weak weak.

    Totally Disappointing!

I've always been a fan of the FD films so went to see this one with high hopes. Even the big premonition at the start of this film is a let down. It comes nowhere close to having the dramatic impact that the other three do. This disappointment continues throughout the rest of the films. The deaths of most of the 'survivors' are far too over the top and this ruins the film for me. The death in the pool was good until the last bit and the car wash incident was probably the best part.. I think the makes of the film hadn't heard the statement 'less is more'.. I have the other three films in my DVD collection but will not be adding this one.

    Absolute Scare Fest!!!

Wow! Went on the opening night at the cinema to see this in 3D as a birthday treat. Took me old hubby with me, who hates the cinema, and by God, what a cracking film!!! The 3D effects were fantastic, (blood droplets that seemingly circled the cinema, a snakes head that looked poised to bit you on the nose and much more, I ducked my head a few times when things flew out that I wasn't expecting. As this is supposed to be the finale, it went out with a bang and I can say that this is the best grisly film that I have seen in years! The story was good and the plots were interlinking well, good continuity! The characters were all american teens as in the other films, but his one had the edge and when its out on DVD will be buying for my collection! If it changed my hubby's (a football watching beer drinker) opinion, then you will be blown away just like me!! GO SEE IT - 3D Rocks!!!
