Terrific gory horrror!By a customer from derby, england , 02 Sep 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]David cronenberg delivers yet another excellent horror, this time remaking the original 50's version of 'The Fly'to great effect. A treat for horror fans thanks to its numerous gruesome scenes and a great turn by Jeff Goldblum as the inventor striving to advance modern science, with disastrous consequences!!

Science Fiction ClassicBy MadFilmWatcher (3 reviews) from Bristol , 13 Sep 2008Although the effects are a little dated this is a classic Science fiction movie. Jeff Goldblum is at his best.

quite goodBy ces4bulls (23 reviews) from Bradford , 09 Apr 2008hi, i must admit that i quite enjoyed this film. great effects on mr goldblum and a touch of 'the beauty and the beast' thrown in, with the lovely geena davis. worth a watch, but not really horror as we know it these days.
It's coming, be afraid, be very afraid!!By Chase from London, UK , 28 Jun 2007Ok i'm not normally one for remakes, not all of them work out, or are as good as what the original one was. However when I saw this one, it blew me away. Cronenberg's vision is a haunting and gruesome retelling of the classic tale, basically he does the things that couldn't be told or shown in the original film. Goldblum's slow transformation into the insect is so involving for the viewer which leads to some very gruesome and sick parts. Well you wouldn't want anything less by the director of the excellent Scanners, Rabid and The Brood, and that's exactly what you get, nothing less than the best.
This film (if you haven't seen it yet, is definately NOT FOR THE SQUEIMISH!!! There are a lot of scenes where you'll be close to puking. It's disgusting but brilliant. Pure horror at it's best. enjoy.
'What's that buzzing sound, do you hear it?'
