Brilliant!By Beego (16 reviews) from Bedford , 07 Nov 2009
[Highly rated reviewer]I throughly enjoyed this film, i saw it the night it came out and was completely blown away.
It was nothing like i expected. I do think the rating should be put up to an 18 though is it is really quite scary.
Very good story line and it makes you jump most of the way through. I would definitely watch this again!

For fans of the Blair Witch ProjectBy a customer , 23 Nov 2013Milla H puts in a good performance as usual, but this was painful. Nothing in it to entertain along the way and its pretty obvious what the conclusion is going to be right from the title.
The Fourth Kind - My ReviewBy DaddyTank (228 reviews) from Ulan Bator , 23 Oct 2013Bog standard found footage film with added gibberish. Does have some nice moments but the clumsy premise for the film made it difficult to get involved.
Good attempt to make you thinkBy a customer , 30 Jul 2013Love Milla in most things she does, has more talent than this. Idea was/is a good one, effects are great and scary voice too.. just a shame you know its fake as soon as you see the first 'video'... clever and would certainly recommend this.
A film-making exercise in dishonestyBy 9inchgrinder (20 reviews) from Sutton-in-Ashfield , 23 Jul 2013
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideI utterly agree with 'If you don't mind being fooled' by Korgull - but would go a bit further. I too was completely taken in by the execution of this film, which I suppose is something the film makers could be congratulated for... BUT it's level of dishonesty to the viewer is off the scale. It also serves as a great piece of disinformation against all the genuinely reported cases of paranormal and extraterrestrial activity that go on around the world every year. The only way I found out the film was a fake was because, after watching it, I tried to search to see how the poor psychologist was doing in her life after the events! There is no such person. So, to have Milla explain the 'reality' of the story before the 'real' film starts, and then to have some closing statements from the 'real-life' people involved was (with hindsight) very insulting. If you can put all this aside, then the film was amazingly well executed from start to finish (and apparently either side as well!) with some spine-tinglingly freaky scenes in it also. If they'd have come clean at the end of the credits (kinda like a hidden track on an album) then this film may have earned a rare 5. As it is, to give this film anything more than the minimum score would be to condone the dishonest nature of it - and that would definitely be... well, dishonest. Decide for yourselves.

Nice idea. Poorly executed.By Haren (3 reviews) from Cambridge , 22 Jul 2013Nice idea. Poorly executed. Took me a long time to get into this film by which point it was almost over, and was left wondering why I gave it a chance.
