Chung Lai throws herself into the role of a dispassionate Tong assassin forced to seek sanctuary in the States in Douglas Jackson's impoverished action thriller. Certainly, she has the looks and some good moves, but she is no Cheng Pei Pei or Michelle Yeoh, and is further hobbled by the plodding storyline. The lack of budget is palpable, and Michael Madsen's very average performance as a bounty hunter further testifies to his post-Reservoir Dogs decline.

    Time filler

If you were to have a little time to spare, then this film would do it. The stars were there, the story so-so, and the villains got theirs, as usual. Not much else really!

    Different

Cautionary tale of an internet bride who is really an assassin in hiding in America from a furious ganglord out for revenge.

    Average but watchable.
