I rented this because I'm a big Anna Massey fan - she's only got a walkon part in this film, but she steals the scene she's in with an eccentric turn as an old lady who rents a man one night a week.
The film is not what I xpected - ok its dark and moody in places, but endearing and v funny when the gigolos start fighting over the old ladies.
Its not what you might think from a film called 'gigolos', and maybe the other reviews were xpecting something different? British, yes.. eccentric, yes.. but its warm and funny and makes a change from Hollywood.
