Gods Must be crazy 2
By steve from UK , 07 Dec 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
The first was so good, I ordered the sequel. The premise isn't quite so good, as there is no coke bottle, but I actually found the film funnier. I have no idea why this film is so hilarious, its cheap budget, low special effects, the sort of thing a genius child prodigy director would have turned out as a school project, but its simply genius. I guess its the sheer simplicity of it all. Way better than most Hollywood comedies. I actually laughed out loud several times, thats never happened with a Reese Withespoon comedy!- Was this review helpful to you?

(55)Innocently brilliant comedy
By strad (2 reviews) , 31 Oct 2011The main characters portrayal of naive innocence is so natural it makes the comic scenarios all the more side splitting.
I loved this film and it kept a smile on my face all day thinking about it.
One not to miss!!
That was part 1. Really looking forward to seeing part 2.- Was this review helpful to you?

Wonderful and sweet film (apart from the undressed lady!)
By a customer , 09 May 2011This refers mostly to the second film - I nearly cried at the end - this was a simple, sweet film yet with slapstick and silly humor, bad special effects and rubbish editing at times. I LOVED it.
It's essentially the story of a bushman's search for his lost children although, as in the first film, other people get mixed up in the adventure and they all meet at various times.
I actually preferred this to the first one - it was funnier and better paced although you need to see the first one to learn to love the characters.
I really wish they had done a third - what a lovely film. I do think that they could have done without the lady's clothes coming off every 30 minutes but that aside - utterly brilliant - we will probably never see something so simple sweet and fun again.- Was this review helpful to you?

Simple but brilliantly entertaining
By webbym (3 reviews) , 08 Apr 2011Absolutely brilliant, entertaining film - something very hard to come by in modern days.
The whole plot is hilarious and the trouble that results, though sad for the ones facing it - creates a humurous situation for the audience.- Was this review helpful to you?

The Gods Must Be Crazy
By Gordon8 (1 review) from Hillsborough , 12 Sep 2010Good old fashioned fun and the whole family can enjoy it. Quirky and all the better for that. Slow to start but if you sit through the first 10 minutes of 'What is this?' you are rewarded with plenty of laughs.- Was this review helpful to you?
