    Thought provoking

Now if you were expecting a rip roaring ride here I would think again. This is a an intelligent thriller/drama that delivers on the premise suggested. Damon is ever reliable, Jolie a tad underused, but some stellar support lends weight.

Overall one for those that want to immerse themselves.

    Introversive & Retrospective: a Thinking Man’s/Woman’s Film

Great film Matt’s acting was on point a very good supporting cast not sure of the need for Angelina (surprisingly given a meaningless role; the role could have been played by an up & comer), but great film overall. Matt played the role excellently very similar to the talented Mister Ripley. Matt shows the soullessness needed to operate as an effective Operative, which equals a dysfunctional human being in normal society. A genuine love for his son but no real intimacy between the two his overall situation isn’t helped by a loveless marriage but I really don’t think he cares.

Thriller/Drama might be a bit slow for some making it seem long, but you should stick with it, the ending was a bit anticlimactic but it was a realistic ending. Paints a pretty realistic picture of what life as a Government Operative would be, totally opposite to how most Operatives are portrayed in Hollywood as larger than life Super-Hero-ish characters.

    Very Intriguing Film.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

    • 02 Feb 2009

In terms of ambition and risk, David Fincher’s grand and peculiar 166 minute movie dwarfs everything else around right now. It’s garnered 13 Academy Award nominations and broken the $100 million mark at the North American box office, but none of that makes it any less odd. F. Scott Fitzgerald’s slim novella presents enormous difficulties to the filmmaker. It is the story of a man born into a wizened and infirm body who gets younger as he ages. At ten he has the physique of a... Read more
